Hello! My name is Jeff Carpenter. I currently serve as EES Band Director, EHS Assistant Band Director, JV Lady Tiger Softball Head Coach, and Varsity Lady Tiger Softball Assistant Coach. I also served as the statbook keeper for Elba Tiger Basketball from 2021-2024. The 2024-2025 school year will be my 6th year at Elba City Schools, 5th season with the softball program, and my 14th year of teaching overall. 

Prior to coming to Elba, I taught band at Horseshoe Bend High School (2008-2010), Ranburne High School (2010-2012), Leroy High School (2015-2018), and Slocomb High School (2018-2019). While at Leroy, I was also the Head Coach of the golf team for three seasons. My band programs have consistently received Superior ratings at contests across Alabama and Georgia, and won multiple Best In Class awards in all captions. My 2012 Ranburne band participated in the halftime show of the Nokia Sugar Bowl in New Orleans, Louisiana. 

I  received my Bachelor and Master degrees in education from Jacksonville State University in 2006 and 2013. While there, I was a member of the JSU Marching Southerners for 5 years, as well as the Chamber Winds, Wind Ensemble, and Saxophone Ensemble.

I am a native of Auburn, Alabama and currently resides in Enterprise, Alabama. I enjoy going to the beach, playing golf and watching softball games in my spare time.
