After three years of dedicated service as a shared Assistant Principal between EHS and EES, Mr. B (Marty Balkcom) will be joining Elba Elementary School full-time beginning with the 2026–2027 school year.
Mr. B has already built strong relationships with our students, staff, and families, and we’re thrilled to have him fully at EES moving forward. His leadership, experience, and commitment to our school community will continue to make a positive impact every day.
Please join us in congratulating Mr. B on this exciting transition; we’re so glad he’s officially calling EES home full-time!

🗓 Testing Schedule:
Math Diagnostic: Monday, May 4 & Tuesday, May 5
Reading Diagnostic: Wednesday, May 6 & Thursday, May 7
(Kindergarten–6th Grade)

Ensure they get a good night’s sleep 😴
Provide a healthy breakfast 🍎 (school breakfast is available)
Make sure they arrive on time ⏰
Encourage them to try their very best 💯
