Purple Bus will be running late in the morning, Friday February 6, due to not having a driver to cover the route. We ask that if you have any way to get your child to school by an alternate route in the morning please do so. EES is hosting a Valentine’s Day Candy Gram Fundraiser! Candy grams are a fun way for students, staff, and families to spread a little love on Valentine’s Day 💌

✨ Details:
• Candy grams are $1 each
• Each gram includes a sucker
• Delivery will be on February 12
• You may send as many as you’d like – no limit!
• Forms and payment are due by February 9

🎉 Want to add extra fun? You can include an airgram to be read over the intercom for an additional $1!

We are expecting the coldest weather of the year next week here in South Alabama, with overnight lows in the 20s and temperatures possibly dipping into the teens Monday night.

Pre-registration for the 2026–2027 school year begins January 15 and runs through March 20!

Eligible children must be 4 years old on or before September 1, 2026, and be Alabama residents.

Winter Break is a great time to reset and get ready for a strong return to school. A few simple steps at home can help students come back refreshed, focused, and ready to learn. Take time over the break to clean out backpacks, wash jackets and shoes, practice reading and math skills, and keep healthy routines in place. Small habits now can make a big difference later! We look forward to welcoming our Tigers back recharged and ready for the new semester. 🐅💛🖤

Thank You, Community Partners! We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Elba Fire Department and the Coffee County Sheriff’s Department, along with Keelie Moseley and Emmy Eldridge from the Elba High School Varsity Cheerleaders, for helping make this morning so special for our elementary students. Seeing Santa, the Grinch, and their helpers welcoming students to school brought lots of smiles and excitement. A special thank you to Ms. Alayna Cook for organizing and coordinating this wonderful event. It was truly a great morning at Elba City Schools, and we are grateful for the support of our school and community family

Mrs. Pasteen helped Mrs. Bivins’ Pre-K class create the sweetest Christmas ornaments, and our little learners had such a fun and festive time! 🎄✨

The students loved getting hands-on, using their creativity to make something special to take home and share with their families. Activities like this bring so much joy to our classrooms and make the holiday season extra meaningful. We are so thankful for teachers who work together to create memorable moments and spread Christmas cheer throughout our school! 💕🎨🎄

Christmas Spirit Week – Monday Fun! ✨🎄 We were a little too busy having fun today to stop and take a ton of pictures 📸😂 Between the smiles, laughter, and Christmas cheer, we may have missed a few moments… but trust us, it was a GREAT start to Spirit Week!
